Water Pump Project Complete

03/15/18

Alum Rock Football Academy would like to share some fantastic update on the clean water project in developing countries.

For those who attended the Alum Rock Football Academy Awards ceremony a few months ago, you can recall we had a raffle at the end of the ceremony where hampers and prizes were handed out.

We did announce that we will be giving the money from that raffle to a charity who would build a clean water & pump system for people who otherwise have no access t clean water unless they travel a long distance and carry it back home. This, unfortunately is something we take for granted.

SKT Welfare who have been rolling out his project to supply clean water go to remote areas to complete the water pump donated by the children and parents from Alum Rock Football Academy and have sent us pictures along with a letter of gratitude.

We wanted to thank everyone who took art in making this project a success. We hope to work on more projects like this in the near future so please follow us for latest information on how to get involved.

03/19/18

Alum Rock Football planned and delivered 3 amazing trips for the children that attend the academy regularly this summer.

Wicksteed Park:

(Kettering)

There’s nowhere quite like Wicksteed Park. Along with 30 exciting rides and activities, including one of Europe’s longest zip wires, there’s 147 acres of beautiful rolling parkland – perfect for a game of frisbee, or a big family picnic.

Stay the night in our cosy campsite, wander round our woods, or jump aboard the UK’s most popular narrow gauge railway – there’s more to do than you can shake a shilling at.

So, are you ready to get stuck in?

We managed to take 43 children mainly from the Tinny Totts Session and parents which was thoroughly enjoyed there day out in Kettering, we had a amazing weather and the kids had plenty of rides which they enjoyed all day long.

A big thank you o the organisers and the parents for helping out for the day.

Go Ape (Live Life Adventurously)

This outdoor trip helped our young teens achieve self-confidence and set personal bests in the great outdoors.

Go Ape was a great opportunity to develop these young adults' essential life skills by overcoming obstacles in a positive way. Reward your explorers with a Go Ape certificate of achievement for facing their personal challenges.

Go Ape is a amazing place for the family as alongside the Tree Top Adventure and Forest Segway experience, off-road cycling and orienteering this is a eye opener for some kids but they will defiantly enjoyed it.

Join us in our leafy hangouts for an unforgettable adventure. Our magical forests are the perfect place to let loose, have a laugh, and reconnect with your Tribe. Whether you’re eight or eighty, with a head for heights or not – we’ve got the perfect adventure for you.

Our 8-11yr old youth group really enjoyed this outdoor adventure it.

A big thank you to the coaches & also Go Ape staff for assisting us on the day with the tree top courses and we will defiantly be using this adventure day again.

TESTIMONIALS

I think the Football Academy has been fantastic for my 2 children, they really look forward to it every weekend. Through the 12 months they have been attending i have seen them grow in confidence in how they interact with all the other children in the group, overall it's been great for their development and also they are now keen football fans.
